Girl number one
has the saddest eyes
her soul is done
and every day she cries
Girl number two
wears a cage all day
her emptiness grew
and for freedom she pray
Girl number three
was wrapped and bound
she cried like the sea
and in her sorrow she drowned
Girl number four
gave the king most pleasure
she everyone ignore
but her sadness you can measure
Girl number five
tried to stay strong
she wanted to feel alive
and to no one belong
Girl number six
was empty inside
she had no tricks
and would never be a bride
Girl number seven
was saddest of all
her soul went to heaven
and now she watches other fall.
